What it does

Account tiers go stale fast. ICP drift, funding events, leadership changes, hiring spikes — they all move accounts up or down the priority stack, but the tier file usually only gets a real refresh once a year. This recipe re-scores every named account quarterly: it pulls last-90d activity from Salesforce + HubSpot, refreshes fit and intent from Apollo, applies the team’s weighting rules, and ships a tier-review brief with up-tier and down-tier recommendations.

How it works

  1. Pull. Grab the named-account list with last-90d activity + historical pipeline-gen.
  2. Enrich. Refresh firmographics, technographics, and intent signals from Apollo.
  3. Score. Apply the team’s weighting (fit 40 / intent 35 / ROI 25); bucket into up-tier, down-tier, hold.

Setup

  • Connect a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive).
  • Connect an enrichment tool (Apollo, ZoomInfo, or Clay).
  • Tune the tier-scoring weights to your motion (default: fit 40 / intent 35 / pipeline-gen ROI 25).
  • Optional: configure a movement threshold (default: 12-point delta to trigger a tier change).

Variations

  • Run monthly for high-velocity inbound motions instead of quarterly.
  • Add a “fast-tier” override that promotes any account hitting a funding event in the last 30 days.
  • Pipe the tier moves to an ABM tool to auto-update cohort membership.
